The Johann August Malin Society, named after an anti-NS resistance fighter executed in 1942, is dedicated to research into the contemporary history of the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, particularly into long neglected subjects such as anti-Semitism, Austrofascism and National Socialism. The Society also regularly takes part in public debate on these issues.
At present, the Society has 200 members. New ones are always welcome - be they researchers or supporters. They are entitled to receive the publications of the Society at a considerably reduced price.

Under Texts we are publishing essays relating to areas of research of the Malin Society, but not easily available any more. These essays still appear relevant to the ongoing debate on Vorarlberg's contemporary history.
The Publications of the Malin Society appear, as a rule, in the publishing house of the Vorarlberger Autoren Gesellschaft. Virtually all publications (except the most recent ones) are now online for download in PDF with an OCR text layer, thus enabling full text searchability.

The Lexikon Verfolgung und Widerstand in Vorarlberg 1933-1945 (Encyclopaedia on Persecution and Resistance in Vorarlberg 1933-1945) provides an up-dated documentation on the subject (originally published 1985 in a book by the Malin Society, now out of print).
The Archive contains a documentation of earlier activities up to 2005, such as public lectures by members of the Society, exhibitions, or statements in public debates.
The Links refer exclusively to institutions and materials relevant to the Society´s intentions and aims.
